The recent Hall of Fame awards ceremony held in association with Athlone Agricultural Show and sponsored by Tesco Ireland Finest Certified Angus beef was a huge success.

The evening was filled with glamour and excitement among the livestock breeding fraternity with many long established successful breeders attending.  Michael Flanagan introduced each of the breed award winners to Minister Brendan Smith.  These proud award recipients, along with their fellow breeders’ family and friends, sat down to a magnificent dinner which consisted of melt-in-the-mouth Tesco Finest Certified Irish Angus beef.

Due to circumstances outside of his control, Mr Noel Birchall, Meat Buyer for Tesco Ireland, was unable to attend.  However, he sent his congratulations to all the award winners and said that Tesco was delighted to be associated with the event.  All fresh beef sold in Tesco stores was Irish beef and quality assured.

Certified Irish Angus beef sold under the Tesco Finest range offers consumers an extra special eating experience and as a result of this, has seen sales rise steadily over the past 10 years to be in excess of €10m per year.
